A little bit about me

I have now been a volunteer ranger with National Trust for almost 10 years. I do my volunteering at Croft Castle working alongside two full time rangers and a volunteer group of about 15 strong. We are a mixed group both men and women and we range in age from a student of 19 through to some of us now in our 70’s.

Croft Castle is located in north Herefordshire, and having retired from full time paid employment and having lived up and down the country and abroad, it is without doubt a beautiful county in which to settle.

My Blog will, in the main be about why I work in the parkland and why I think it’s so important. The main theme will revolve around our collective activity but I want also to provide some background information that might add to the walks guide that you will be able to obtain from the reception when you visit Croft.
